So school starts tomorrow and I have mixed emotions abound. It's sad that the summer's ending, but shit this is my last year at the UofO, it looks like I'm actually gonna pull this shit off in four years, who would have thought. I'm getting a little nervous because I'm gonna have to start applying for Grad schools pretty soon to get my teaching cert. but I have no idea what's gonna be involved in the whole process. I do know that I'm gonna have to take a lot of tests that I'll probably be woefully unprepared for. In the more immediate future I just printed out the syllabus for my Hist 410? class the American west, the bitch is 9 mofo pages long! Who does that a 9 page syllabus for christssake.
I was happy to make a return to reading this summer and I managed to finish a few choice books. Right now I'm in the middle of reading "The Professor and The Madman" nonfiction about the construction of the Oxford English Dictionary. Nerds of the world unite! What can I say for all my lazy grammar and unadorned language I love the words.
One reason for the shoddy upkeep of this blog over the summer aside from uncomfortable seats and patchy internet has been my decision to back off the "must get it first" music train. In a way I sort of took a vacation form finding new music and tried to get to know my old stuff a little better and managed to reintroduce myself with some really fab artists ie: The Good Life, Metric, The first coupe Rilo Kiley albums, Miles Davis and some Django Reinhardt. There are plenty more but those just came to mind. That's not to say there weren't some amazing releases these last few months most notably The two Ryan Adams records, Sufjan Stevens, The Fiery Furnaces (probably the wierdest album I've ever heard), Franz Ferdinand, You Say Party, We Say Die!, and Devendra Banhart.
I'm actually quite intrigued with where it seems like the scene is going right now with the "indie genre" being able to accept new wave retreads (just about everyone) , epic theatrical releases (arcade fire, sufjan), Country (Ryan Adams, Bright Eyes), "freak folk"(Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom) and even, ready for this?... hip hop (mf doom, atmosphere). For a scene that prides it's self on exclusivity and self importance what I'm wondering is the music getting that much better or is "indie scene" starting to crumble. You must admit that this last year has been one of transistion for indie rock with the tight rope act being walked by "indie bands" the killers the bravery death cab for cutie modest mouse etc.. Our little scene is growing up .
Also just wanted to put the word out to any Elliott Smith fans that the new film Thumbsucker a soundtrack entirely composed by Tim Delaughter of the polyphonic spree other than three Elliott songs including 2 new tracks . His Amazing cover of BigStar's "thirteen" possibly my favorite Elliott track and a Cat Stevens cover "Trouble". A highly recommended pick up if you get a chance.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. Spanish and work have pretty much been kicking my ass around the whole time. On the upside though I only have one more day of class then I'm finally done with school for the summer. Ojala. Over the weekend we had a nice little get together over here including the likes of jacob, Andrew², Logan and the rest of the usual crew. Thanks to everyone that came, but now I'm starting to get the itch for a "rager" someone with a house accomodate me stat. So Ryan Adams appears to be a lost cause = bust. Does anybody that reads this even listen to Ryan? The first two albums posted here are highly recommended. Weekend round up: Donnie and Amanda were in town for a too short stay, but it was great to see the kids. We talked music moleskine macs and a love for discount retailers. Everything is getting pretty hectic around here with school and apartment stuff here. Final start on Monday (Morgan Has THREE on Monday, what a bitch that is), I've got a take home essay test that Get on Friday and will be due on Monday. I hate take home finals. Good news though my Music Industry Professor took me aside on Tuesday and told me that I didn't have to take the final, so for that class all I have to do now is give my presentation on how to build your own home studio. I got my tickets for Wisconsin yesterday July 3-10th it should be nice to see all that family but I honestly wish I was just going home instead.

How brilliant are The Smiths? This is a band I got into late and I've become obsessed with them as of late I love it. Anybody interested in me posting any Smiths? If so let me Know. Also I've been watching the DVD's of The Office, the BBC version. It's so great and the humor is so painfully awkward it hurts, but that's what makes it perfect.

Welcome, hope everyone had a pleasant holiday weekend. This weekend was insanely busy I worked 4 days in a row and ended up going out every night except Friday when I stayed home and hung out with Dave and Brian. It was great to get to see the folk form back home again and really drove home how much I miss Huntington and all the folk there (maybe not all of them, but a few at least). Other weekend adventures include a gentleman's club called "The Brickhouse" (sleaziest strip club ever) for Jacobs 21st with his roommate Jacob 2 and my lovely girlfriend Morgan(how cool is that!). Then more barhopping on Sunday Night with Jacob Laura Morgan etc after I had an old skool Chili's lunch with Dave and Bri on their way home. Monday was 8 hours of work, but glorious time and a half work.

I've started to ride my bike to work and I feel that I am making myself a better man for doing so. I mean it takes me like 10 min more to ride than drive, plus it makes me feel good to do it. The ride is actually quite beautiful the whole thing is along the Willamette River and it's quite peaceful and a good time for me to gather my thoughts. I'm really getting hooked on the whole biking thing again. I ride a mid 80's Miyata 210 single speed conversion Roadbike in pretty good shape, but I really want to tweak it some more maybe a new wheel set or a carbon fork would be great, but I just can't justify it. For the cost of updating my 80's steel frame bike I could buy a new road bike that would be 10 times better. So for now I guess I'll just dream until I can come up with the cash for a new bike.

So last night I finally got out and saw Star Wars with Andrew and Jacob who had both already seen the film; I'm not going to go too in depth here or really offer a review of any kind , I'm just gonna lay out a few thoughts about the movie. A warning straight out if you don't want to know anything about the film, don't read this. Warning #2 I'm a huge Star Wars nerd and may geek out a little here. The last 2 Star Wars movies have been utter shite and I couldn't even sit all the way through the second one. But now comes #3 with good reviews, raves from friends and a sickening slew of product endorsements in hand, and my hopes are raised a bit. So how do I feel after watching it, underwhelmed to say the least. Alright, it's better than one or two, but that's probably just because they have more material to work with, this is the episode where the whole fucking galaxy goes to shit. You need to be able to make that interesting. I'm tiring of this already so I'll be continuing in a series of unconnected statements. George Lucas, Would it kill you to build a fucking set?! There's been a decent amount of criticism leveled at Hayden Christensen and Natalie Portman's performances in the movie; I'll actually give them a free ride on this because no one could of made the clunky, mechanical writing of George Lucas sound half-way decent. Though I have many criticisms of the film I can say one thing that I couldn't say about the other two: I was entertained, I won't be going to see it again, but I was entertained none the less. Baby hands or not, Natalie Portman is mofo hot... almost as hot as my lady Miss. Deeks. OK, so that's gonna do it for Star Wars, but I'll probably be posting some more random thoughts on the subject as they come to me. It was nice to go to a movie with just Jacob and Andrew so we could totally geek out and be able to express our outrage that they may be casting a woman in the role of Angel in the new X-Men. Warren Worthington III a woman?! Blasphemy.

Did anyone manage to catch Ryan Adams on Letterman a couple nights ago? Holy shit! He's a wookie! His hair is all long and matted and he grew an epic beard, it was grand. It was pure comedy to watch as the camera man tried to get a close up of his face, but was consistantly rebuked by a glorious wall of hair and Harry potter glasses. Long story short, I love me some Ryan Adams Which leads us to (that's a seguay people)...

:Ryan Adam's first solo album after whiskey town was Heartbreaker a country album that starts with Ryan and someone else in the band arguing about Morrissey. C'mon how flippin' sweet is that. The next track is still possibly my favorite Ryan Track of all time "To Be Young", which if you didn't know any better you'd swear it was a Dylan B-side. Some of the tracks are just too country for me, but the other tracks are near perfect, some of the most heartbreakingly beautiful songs I have ever heard. I'd like to thank Mr. Murdock for getting me to give Ryan a chance all those years ago cuz it is just amazing stuff. Please download it if just for track 2 it's worth it.

:First album for the day is Guitar Romantic form the Portland Oregon local band The Exploding Hearts. This is a gritty rock record that came out in 2002 to rave reviews, from those who heard it anyway. In July of 2003 on the way to a show the bands van flipped killing 3 of the members , really fucking tragic. It makes me sorta sad to listen to the album, but it really is quite good and if you like the rock I'm sure you'll enjoi it.

:Next is Bright Eyes Neva Dinova Split EP "One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels". They each wrote half of the songs on the record and collaborate on all of the performances, though Conor is only the primary vocalist on one or two of the tracks. It's quite an amazing album, I think that Conor has done some of his best work on these split EP's. The split HOME Split he did with Brit Daniels form Spoon is mind blowing, maybe I'll post that sometime. Back to the point, this is a great album worth a download. Oh make sure to listen to the last track "Spring Cleaning" , It is beautiful and honestly makes me want to cry a little... I'm not emo.

:Music Update:

:First up we have Loretta Lynn's Grammy winning album (like that means shit) Van Lear Rose. A warning to some of you out there this is a country album straight up. It was produced by Jack White and he's a guest vocalist on the track Portland Oregon. This album is not for everyone, but I'm sure some of you will dig it.

:Second up is Damien Rice - O. This album came out a few years ago and is really quite tremendous. He's an Irish singer songwriter with some beautiful lyrics and interesting instrumentation. It's not particularly often you can fork an Icelandic opera singer into one of your tracks, but Rice manages. He beat out Bright Eyes amongst others to win the Shortlist Prize in 2002 or maybe 2003, which is basically the equivalent of the indie grammys.

Late post today, but blogger has been down all day for me so I didn't really get a chance. We've got good news riding the horizon from the South in the coming week. First off my two mates from the OC, The Thin White Duke, Parfait himself Mr. Brian Van and The Outlaw, The Sex, David Murdock, will be blowing through town this weekend on their way to Sasquatch pausing only for a nights refuge and to strap Miss. Jodelle Jane across the back of their steed. As if that wasn't enough, Mr. Jeter will be finding a way to cease humping his moleskin for long enough to grace us here in Eugene with his presence on the 3rd. Cue head explosion... now

My bike conversion to a single speed had been a glorious success. I wish I could post a pic, but alas my camera was lifted while at Coachella so I'm digital cameraless. Either way, I love the bike and am already plotting what to do with it next. Connor fact for the day: I'm a tinkerer and nothing is ever done that I do. I think it has something to do with requiring multiple things to do to keep me from doing the things that I really should be doing. Now you know.

:First off I have a repost of the amazing new White Stripes album for those that missed out on it the first time I posted it. Upon subsequent listens I like it even more than I had before, the album is really growing on me. I'm not a big fan of the uber rootsy song "As Ugly As I Seem", but the rest of the album is gold... Gold I Says!

:Second up we have the accoutrement to the album, the video for the first single "Blue Orchid". The video has a very vaudeville/Victorian look to it and some undeniable sexual tension. Oh yeah the sexual tension part, there's a horse involved. Happy downloads candy cane children.

Yet another busy weekend with no time for a proper post. Friday was Morgan's 5th grade styles slumber party which was oodles o' fun. How can you go wrong with root beer floats, twister bop-it, madlibs, and alcohol for all? A great time had by all to be sure; head on over to Andrew's site to see the photographic evidence.

Saturday was work, which was actually fine cuz I spent 3 hours in the stockroom listening to music and doing nothing work related, more or less. After work was Chris Whit's 21st. So I headed over to Chris Evan Deborah's and we did a little prefunking before heading over to indigo at midnight. On the walk there I talked to this Brit named Ben(?) who offered some interesting insight on American culture to me. He basically said that we talked a lot, but it wasn't just that we talked a lot it was specifically that we talked about ourselves a lot. Not exactly a mind blowing revelation, but still gotta love that American centric mentality.

When we got to Indigo it was packed and apparently there was some band playing like the eyelashes or the eyebrows, I don't remember I think that their name was facial hair related though. Seeing as I dislike people on the whole and how after waiting ten minutes trying to get a beer to calm my claustrophobic urges with no avail Morgan and I said our goodbyes and walked home. Yeah, we're old, but I'm alright with that.

On to the present: right now my bike is at the shop where I took it to get new tires and tubes. While I was waiting I started talking to the guy working there and bitching about how horrible my stem mounted shifters were. He suggested converting to single speed, not fixed cuz I'll still be able to coast. I thought fuck it why not and the whole thing only cost like $10.00. I'll give a review of how this works out once I get the bike back. Either way I'm stoked, single speeds just have a much cleaner look to them and I'm all about the clean lines. That's all for now, I know it was too much anyway.

:First off we have the biggie. The White Stripes - "Get Behind Me Satan", this leaked today and I think I'm actually one of the first on top of this. This is a vinyl rip so the quality is not top notch, but it's by no means horrible. As for the album it's self right now I'm loving it, but I'm only on the second run through so we'll see. I think it's actually quite varied much much more piano than they've used recently. Also some great xylophone. Download and let me know what you think!

:Secondly I have the video of Death From Above 1979 on Conan from a February. This was going to be my main item till The Stripes album leaked. Once again the quality is pretty shitty so you'll have to watch it pretty small, but it is amazing. If you haven't heard DFA 1979 you're really missing out just an amazing two piece that rocks, hard. They are loud and very fast and are only a bass guitar drums and a little synth... that's hardcore. Well the highlight of the vid is the god like Max Weinberg sprinting in halfway through the song and taking over the drums for the song. Beautiful chaos I say.

:Lastly there is Ratatat - "Ratatat", a great instrumental group who just make great music. I don't really know how to describe it other than good. Download it and figure it out.

Welcome all. I had class and then work till 10:30 last night + my internet was down for most of the day so no time for a update yesterday, but I figure I posted enough stuff to keep people busy on Tuesday. With no internet yesterday I was finally able to grasp how addicted to this blogging thing I am whether it's updating mine or compulsively checking other people blogs. Yesterday was registration for fall term and I had no idea at all till like 5:00pm, my bad, I guess I'm a little out of the loop. Late or not I was still able to get the classes I wanted for fall:

So it's going to be a pretty full term especially cuz I'm going to be taking Spanish 203 at Lane community college nights in addition to the U of O load. After that fall term though I'll only need to take my thesis class for my history major and then the rest of my credits will all be electives so that'll be nice.

::This is something I'm going to try and start doing with each post; instead of just posting the albums I'll try and give you an idea of what you're in for/ why I chose each particular selection::

Today we've got the "Revenge of The Sith" soundtrack first off. I have yet to actually listen to it as I don't want to have anything to do with the new Star Wars till I've seen it. I'm sure someone's interested though. Speaking of stars wars check out this worst gift bag ever.

Next up we have the new Weezer album "Make Believe", I've been a =W= fan forever and am both blue and Pinkerton place in my all time top twenty albums, however they've been on a steady decline since Pinkerton and have gotten steadily worse eversince. I'm sorry to say that the downward spiral is still in effect with this album, I can say with all honesty that there is one only decent track on Make Believe, track 3, "This is Such a Pity". It's some serious new wave revival shite and much better than anything else on the rest of the album. In addition this album also has two all time lows for =W=, the new single Beverly Hills and remarkably a song that is even worse "We Are All On Drugs", which is truly one of the WORST SONGS I HAVE EVER HEARD MY ENTIRE LIFE. Check it out for yourself though and let me know what you think.

Lastly we have Interpol Antics, this has been out there for awhile, but it's a great album and worth a a few spins. I like it a lot more than their first Turn Out The Bright Lights, I think that it has a slightly poppier feel to it and doesn't drone and drag so much as the first did. His voice is also a bit more alive on Antics and he doesn't seem as set on flogging Ian Curtis's dead corpse with Joy Division knock offs. I don't know I just think it's a much more unique album where we see Interpol expanding their horizons and becoming more than just a one trick pony band.

Sorry about the lack of update yesterday, the last few days have been crazy busy. Saturday and Sunday I had my "Drugs/Brain/Body" seminar from 9-2:30 both days, far too early to be getting up on a weekend for my tastes. Couple the seminar with the fact that I had a take home essay midterm due today at 9:00 am and you have the recipe for a pretty hectic few days. I was working on the paper till about 1:30 last night luckily for me I was blessed with the editing prowess of my beautiful girlfriend to help me clean up my skratch. I had to finish the paper this morning before class, but I think it turned out pretty well overall.

Did anybody watch Will Ferrell's return to SNL on Saturday? It was quite funny though I think I was expecting a little more from it; I had high expectations. Needless to say the Jeopardy skit was great as was the return of Gene the cowbellist(cowbeller?) during the otherwise bland Queens of the Stone Age performance. I got to say I'm little worried about Ferrell getting the Ben Stiller/Jude Law disease and overexpose himself to a point where everyone just gets sick of him. Continuing on the TV path Family Guy was hilarious last night; god I love that show. When the chicken just comes flying in and tackles Peter from the side of the screen without any warning it was beautiful. The writers really know their fan base, they know that if you're watching this show chances are you've seen all the episodes and know the brilliance of Peter's first chicken fight. Classic I say classic.

While on lunch from my seminar on Saturday I ended up buying "The Rock Snobs Dictionary" at the book store. It's quite funny and actually provides a decent amount of info though it's hidden under pretty thick sarcasm. Overall I'd recommend it for anyone who thinks they know their shit when it comes to music, it was actually quite a humbling experience for me to see how many of the entries in the book I had no clue about. I guess I still have a ways to go before I reach true rock snob status, time to dust off the Kraftwerk LP's. So when I post an album on here I also post the album art. To do that I download the art from Amazon usually then upload it to my flickr account to post it on here. Is there anyway to get the album art on here with out having it waste space on my flickr account. It seems like there should be, but I just don't know how. This is a cry for help to the blogging community. Post a comment and let me know if it can be done.

busy busy day. i don't really have time for a real update today but i should get one up either sunday or monday. when i return the lower case aesthetic that i've been playing with here will have gone by the wayside. i was informed by the highly influential jacob that the lack of capitalization combined with my admittedly horrific grammar made reading my entries more of a chore than it really should be. as a result starting next post you will only need to contend with my shoddy grammar. cheers!

Ok well I didn't think that I was going to get a chance to do this, but it seems that I'm not having as hard of a time neglecting my studies as I though I would. Friday was our last soccer game of the season; the highly anticipated meeting between The Crickets (us) and The Condors (them). It crazy humid out and all this cotton was blowing on the fields it honest to god looked like it was snowing, if a plague of locusts had shown up during the game I would have begun to worry. The game was good fun and a really tight match I got to play about half the game maybe a little less though honestly a good portion of that time I spent sprawled out on the ground. The final score ended up at Crickets 4 Condors 3 a glorious win for the team especially because the other team was actually pretty decent. I had a few scoring chances but got a bit carried away with my adrenaline and blew em but I was able to make a few decent defensive stops in. I had so much fun I couldn't believe it, it really made me wish even more that I hadn't hurt myself so I could have played the whole season. What I learned the most though was how sickly out of shape I've become, it was scary how little endurance I had out there. We'll have to do something about that

music: elliott smith - i don't think im ever going to figure it out

today is game day! last game of the soccer season, barring us making playoffs that is. i was really excited about this whole soccer thing then as if god was reminding me that i'm not an active person i tore my right quad a week before the season started. the dr. told me that i'd be on crutches for 1 to 2 months but i've been recovering really fast. up until recently i'd been doing hour+ physical therapy sessions twice a week trying to rehab the leg but now im down to one a week. so ive missed the first 4 weeks of the season but week 5 im ready to go, i hope. we'll see how it all turns out.

yesterday i downloaded a bootleg of beatles demos and they're amazing. here's the low down:

"In late May 1968 (the exact date not known) the Beatles came together at 'Kinfauns', George Harrisons home in Esher. One by one, first John, then Paul, they recorded 23 of their newest compositions by double-tracking themselves on George's Reel-to-Reel-tape-machine.
These songs, most of whom where written during the Beatles' two-month-stay on a meditation-course in Rishikesh, India, February - April 1968, were subsequently recorded for the 'White Album'. But not all of them made it onto vinyl and thus remain unreleased (at least as Beatles-versions).
Judging by the outcome of this session, it must have been a very sunny and relaxing day. Spring certainly was in the air (and a bit of pot maybe too).

yeah so that pretty much covers it. it's great to hear how fleshed out and solid these demos are even in such early stages of the songs. just another testament to the genius that was the beatles. im going to do my best to get these up on the site sometime soon hopefully either this weekend or monday.

i have no class till my music industry class at 6:00pm on tuesdays and thursdays, it is extremely hard to do anything on those days before noon assuming that im able to get up before noon in the first place. yeah im a lazy bastard move on. last night while at my own personal hell (you may know it as ross) darryl and gretchen showed up pick up their checks; they quit about 2 weeks leaving me with pretty much no one who i have any interest in talking to at work. honestly it is amazing the dregs of humanity that are attracted to a place like ross, but yeah it was good to see those kids and remind me of how much of a pussy i am for not quitting with them. i've wanted to quit hat place for months, but im so broke it's impossible. i could look for another job but it's so hard to do that when you already have one you get lulled into that horrible sense of complacency it's like ross slowly breaks your spirit. in the last two weeks we've had what equates to a mass exodus at my work with something like 5 or 6 people all quitting with in 3 days of each other just as a big fuck you to our horribly incompetent manager bea. i wish i had the backbone to join them unfortunately im too much of a realist and know that if i quit this job i will no longer have money which could possibly present a problem. so for now i lie and wait and just post bitter rantings but someday oh some glorious day...

over at donnie's site he makes a reference to the greatness that is the jack purcell reissues. i've been a fan of converse all stars and jack purcells forever, i love the clean simple minimalist design and i don't care what anyone says, i think they're comfortable. the development im personally most excited about though is their introduction of the jack purcell slip on, i think they're beautiful and quite unique. yeah there's the classic vans of course but the materials and designs of the purcell are just so cool. this is the first in what will probably become a long line of me raving about clothing or shoes that i have no way to afford, but.... fathers day is coming up (that would probably work better if i were an actual father)

good day to all. im starting to realize how addicting this whole bogging phenom is, im having to keep myself from updating constantly and compulsively just checking the blog. the really sad part of this whole mess though is that i don't really have anything to say yet i still want to post just to say something. this is a truly vain endeavor and i think i'll make myself feel better about it as soon as i surrender to that notion. the whole concept is just recoculous. in writing this in a public forum im assuming that someone would for some reason be interested in what i have to say and the slightest mundane details in my admittedly rather uneventful life. with all that weighing against me i say "fuck it" im shallow enough that gives me some level of satisfaction or feeling of accomplishment so i guess it's whatever ya got to do right? that's enough self-loathing for one day don't you all think?

as for those mundane daily details; has anyone tried those salsa doritos? they're fucking delicious and frighteningly addictive im becoming more and more convinced that there is some crack derivative in those ingredients somewhere. i will begin an investigation and by the time im through i'll have brought the potato chip industry to it's knees, none will be spared.

interesting fact for the day; im secretly an old man trapped in thee body of a 21 yr old. yesterday mo and i stopped at the dollar sore and what did i buy, but a book of tv guide crossword puzzles. yes i am an old man and i revel in it. this is another reason why the last episode or two of "the oc" have hit particularly hard. not only does seth live in my home town, have my music tastes, my penchant for ironic self deprecating humor, a passing resemblance in that skinny, tight pants wearing, mussed curly hair, "he could be a jew" type of way; he now steps even further into my territory by co-opting my love the geriatric community as a whole! this has gone too far people and i love it! i love the oc and am not ashamed to admit it... anymore.

hello all how goes it with you? what's on the list for today eh.... big news for yesterday was mo and i got a call from the apartment complex we applied for the millrace and we got accepted! im so stoked it's crazy the place is a 2 story townhouse with a view of the millrace river on one side and it's just really nice very peaceful. the people there need to move out by june 15th which could be a little interesting as our lease here ends on the 15th as well so if they wait for the last day we could have to wit for them to clean the place and things of the such but fuck it im just glad we got the place. these next few months are gonna be a bit expensive though: june rent for this apartment, june rent for new apartment, security deposit, cleaning fee, etc etc. it'll be tight but worth it.

good morning all; it is a horrible day here in eugene oregon pouring down like it ain't no thang. so im in this detective fiction class right now and we have to read 12 novels over a 9 week period and it's killing me. it's not that i can't get the reading done it's just that i now realize that the detective genre is completely rampent with misogynists, racists, it's an all around vapid genre. we're about 6 or 7 books in right now and they all keep repeating themselves, there's no originality at all just a constant rehashing of the same old formula. bottom line it's getting quite tiresome.

i don't know if any of you have heard of a band called the books but they're pretty amazing wholly unique and a great a breath of fresh air. their music is made up of beautiful found sound collages that, to me at least, seem to almost bridge a gap from music to so called art. they have three albums out right now: thought for food, the lemon of pink and lost and safe their new album. i'd highly suggest checking them out if you get a chance it's good stuff.

also i'd like to put thanks out there for mr. donnie jeter for giving me a shout out in his blog of mastery and thinly veiled obsessive compulsive behaviour. this flickr account he raves about is mind numbingly simple and perfect for beginners, give it a shot you'll see.

ok so this time im really going to try to do this. it's saturday and i've been wholly unproductive today other than dominating at a game of hoopla with morgan her bro k.c. and her mother. kc was over coz he went to see the faint and bright eyes in portland with mo kate jodie last night. he actually bought my ticket coz i had to work at ross... for i am broke as shite. i was scheduled till 10:00pm but, surprise surprise i left at 11:45. i honestly hate that place so fucking much, why am i working there you ask ? in response i refer you to about two sentences above. i was actually more disappointed to miss the faint than bright eyes but mostly coz when i saw bright eyes at coachella last weekend he was just terrible. if you close the last night of a major festival you better not suck. mo said the show was amazing though and that bright eyes was great so i guess they were able to pull their shit together before the show.
